Notes:

  • Using a melamine sponge enables you to have clear results. When testing directly onto metal, the green glow may be hard to see.

  • Sometimes lead is highly compressed into the plastic, making it hard to test for lead. You may have to wait up to one hour to see the item glowing.
  • If the plastic doesn’t glow immediately, wait some minutes, then apply some reagent again.
